Toronto art rock outfit Omhouse are set to deliver their debut full-length album Eye to Eye at the end of the week, but Exclaim! is giving you the chance to stream it in its entirety right now.
The project began as bedroom recordings by drummer Steven Foster, but it has now blossomed into a group affair featuring Evan Cartwright (Tasseomancy, Andy Shauf, the Weather Station), Sam Gleason (the Hidden Cameras, Charlotte Cornfield) and Ben Harney (Our Founders, LUKA).
Prior Omhouse releases include 2013's "Gutterbird" cassette and 2014 EP Mooneye, but Eye to Eye marks the first full-band and full-length offering.
It hears the band moving away from the heavily produced electronic-leaning sounds of previous efforts, opting instead for tighter art rock arrangements. Additionally, Foster and co. used 12-string guitars and mellotron samples to channel the vibe of '60s art music.
The album was recorded at Toronto's Dream House, Lincoln County Social Club and Blockbuster studios.
Eye to Eye is officially out on January 26, but you can scroll past the band's upcoming tour dates to give it an advance listen in the player below right now.
Tour dates:
02/01 Montreal, QC - La Sala Rossa
02/18 Toronto, ON - The Garrison (Wavelength Winter Festival)
