Following a pair of re-releases in 2013, arty BC punk icons Nomeansno are putting the shine on yet another old album by reissuing 1998's Dance of the Headless Bourgeoisie as a double-LP vinyl set on May 20.
Though originally released by Alternative Tentacles, this will be the second time the record has been released by the group's own Wrong Records imprint, following a CD repress in 2004. This is, however, the first vinyl pressing in over 15 years.
The band's 10th full-length effort is described in a press release as a "groundbreaking exploration of social and political lyrical statements and post-punk musical workouts," likening its time changes to "jazzcore." The repress appears to have the same tracklisting as the original offering and will come housed in a gatefold jacket.
Despite the recent re-releases, Nomeansno have not issued a new album since 2006's All Roads Lead to Ausfahrt.
In related news, hockey-themed offshoot the Hanson Brothers will be taking a trip later this month that brings them to a number of Canadian venues. The hooligans start the tour out in Ottawa on March 26 and will make their way out around Ontario and Quebec before flying back to the West Coast for shows in BC and Alberta.
