Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds Share "We're Gonna Get There in the End"

"Things can only get better from here!! (saying that, they couldn't get much worse could they?!)"

A few months ago, Oasis bloke Noel Gallagher made some decidedly unhelpful comments about how he doesn't wear a mask, but now he's closing out the year on a more constructive note with the new tune "We're Gonna Get There in the End."

This latest track from his band Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is a hopeful song full of YOLO-isms ("Don't be afraid when you're rolling the dice / Life is a trip that you don't take twice") and uplifting slogans ("Don't stop believing in what you know / 'Cuz you can't let go, my friend / We're gonna get there in the end").

The song is only a demo, but the acoustic rock arrangement seems fairly complete. All in all, it's the kind of classic-sounding pop tune that Gallagher specializes in.

In a statement accompanying the song, he offered this NYE message:

Firstly let me wish everyone a Happy New Year.
Things can only get better from here!! (saying that, they couldn't get much worse could they?!)
Anyway I've been writing and noodling recently and I've made a little demo of a tune
that I wrote a couple of weeks ago and it actually came out sounding pretty good … the lyrics are quite apt for the times and I think I'd like to share it with you.
The song is called 'We're Gonna Get There In The End'.
Hope your hangovers aren't too horrific.
Hopefully we'll catch up soon.
PS. IT'S ONLY A DEMO.
ONWARDS." NG.
