Ethel Cain Shares Cannibal Love Song "Famous Last Words (An Ode to Eaters)"

Inspired by Luca Guadagnino's 'Bones and All'

Florida songwriter/burgeoning alt-pop star Ethel Cain (who released her debut full-length Preacher's Daughter to some cultishly devoted fanfare earlier this year) has shared a new one-off single inspired by Luca Guadagnino's cannibal romance Bones and All — check out Exclaim!'s review of the film — called "Famous Last Words (An Ode to Eaters)."

The movie is about two young cannibals (called "eaters") named Maren and Lee, played by Taylor Russell and Timothée Chalamet, respectively, as they traverse the American midwest in search of love, life and people to munch on. It's good! Cain's song is also good, an atmospheric ballad that tones down some of the gothic grandeur of Preacher's Daughter

"can't stop thinking abt bones and all," Ethel Cain wrote on SoundCloud. "this one's for lee and maren <3" Bones and All's official score comes courtesy of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross — and includes songs by KISS, New Order, Joy Divison and more '80s staples — but Cain's song makes for a fitting accompaniment.
