The new Mitski album, The Land Is Hospitable and So Are We, is just around the corner, arriving September 15. To celebrate the release, the singer-songwriter has announced a performance series called Amateur Mistake, which will see her play intimate, acoustic previews of the new record in select cities in North America, Europe and the UK. There is a lone Canadian stop in Toronto later this month.
Joined by either Joaquina Mertz, Shana Cleveland, Mary Lattimore or Trust Fund at each date, Mitski kicks off the tour on September 11 in Mexico City. She'll perform at Toronto's Trinity Church on September 29 before heading overseas to play the remainder of the dates, which are currently set to wrap up in Paris on October 20.
Toronto fans can sign up for a lottery ticketing process from today to Sunday (September 10), with invites going out beginning next Wednesday (September 13). Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public the following Monday (September 18).
