Vancouver-based trio Low Levels are set to unleash their debut self-titled EP, and you can hear it first right here at Exclaim!
Band leader Al Boyle has honed his musical chops playing with Hard Feelings, the WPP and You Say Party, and he enlisted his high school pal Byron Slack (Invasives) and Emily Jayne (Devil Eyes, Leamers) to fill out the lineup for his latest project. Taking cues from DC hardcore and West Coast punk, the three-piece deliver a fresh and frenetically charged brand of brash rock'n'roll.
They hit the studio with Josh Wells (Black Mountain) to capture that sound to tape and the result is a seven-song set of hard-hitting punk-tinged tracks that capture the "crisp urgency" and energetic spirit of their live shows.
