Lights Shares Video for New Song "Real Thing"

The new single follows this year's "Prodigal Daughter"

Christmas has come (just slightly) early for Lights fans, as the Canadian pop star has shared a video for new single "Real Thing" which features Los Angeles electronic artist Elohim.

In a statement about the bouncy, light-as-air song, Lights said:

"Real Thing" challenges the traditional concept of 'The one for you.' I don't think it actually exists, but we are predominantly sold this idea that we need to find one person, lock them in forever, and you can't change and grow. We're always looking for the real thing, but it's not always fucking real. Elohim and I had a really fun couple days working at her spot in LA writing this track. She is a virtuoso!

Lights returned earlier this year with new single "Prodigal Daughter," and announced the Baby I'm Back 2022 North American tour that'll see her performing in Toronto this spring, so long as tours are still happening. Most recently she appeared on a new version of the Beaches' "Let's Go."

No official word on a new album quite yet, but it's likely only a matter of time.
