Joining the artists and festivals across Canada who have cancelled or postponed events due to the coronavirus pandemic, organizers behind Lawnya Vawnya have postponed their 10th edition until later this year.
In a statement, organizers wrote that Lawnya Vawnya's executive staff and board of directors decided to postpone the festival until later this fall.
"The music and art festival that was originally scheduled for May 27-30, 2020 will now take place from September 30-October 3, 2020 in St. John's, NL," the statement reads.
"The health and well-being of our artists, delegates and festival goers, who will be traveling from across the country and beyond, as well as our staff and volunteers is a priority. During this difficult time we urge you to find ways to support your artists, arts organizations, local businesses and freelance entrepreneurs wherever possible."
