Lamb of God Reveal New EP in Tribute to Fallen Fan

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Oct 19, 2016

After storming back into our lives with VII: Sturm und Drang, Lamb of God are preparing their next move. This time, though, they'll be offering something smaller — but more perhaps more personal — with a new EP this winter.

Called The Duke, the new EP is slated for a tentative December 2 release and will host five tracks, three of which are live. The title track was recorded during the same sessions as VII: Sturm und Drang and was inspired by the plight of a Lamb of God fan named Wayne Ford, who frontman Randy Blythe befriended. Ford was diagnosed with leukemia in 2010 and died five years later at the age of 33. "The Duke" was written in Ford's honour.

When announcing the new EP, Blythe shared the video below, in which he shares Ford's story. You can also read the lengthy text version over here on the Lamb of God website.

The Duke:

1. The Duke

2. Culling

3. Still Echoes (live at Rock Am Ring)

4. 512 (live at Rock Am Ring)

5. Engage The Fear Machine (live at Bonnaroo)
