Following the public reveal that Lady Gaga suffers from fibromyalgia — an incurable disorder that causes widespread pain — the singer has been hospitalized for what she calls "severe pain." As a result, Gaga has been forced to cancel her scheduled performance at Brazil's Rock in Rio this weekend.

Gaga broke the sad news over Twitter today (September 14), writing "It's not simply hip pain or wear & tear from tour, I'm in severe pain. I'm in good hands w/ the very best doctors."

You can see her string of tweets below.
This follows a recent concert cancellation in Montreal due to Gaga falling ill. Her new documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, recently premiered at TIFF and will arrive on Netflix on September 22. The film centres on the singer's long-running battle with pain.
