Kikagaku Moyo Announce Final Album 'Kumoyo Island,' Share "Cardboard Pile"

The band will play their farewell shows in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver starting next month

After announcing their disbandment back in January, Japanese psych-rockers Kikagaku Moyo have shared details of their final album Kumoyo Island, due May 6 via the band's own Guruguru Brain.

The album, recorded at Tsubame Studios in Asakusabashi, Tokyo, will arrive just in time for the band to bring it on tour with them for their last run of shows before their indefinite hiatus. They'll bid adieu to Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver with performances scheduled on May 11 and 12, and September 30, respectively.

Today, we're getting the first taste of their final album in new single "Cardboard Pile," which comes attached to a visualizer created by Katsushika Shusshin.
