As it turns out, roses aren't the only flowers Kali Uchis wishes you: the Colombian-American singer-songwriter has announced a likewise floral-inspired new Spanish-language album.
Orquídeas arrives January 12. It follows this year's English-language album, Red Moon in Venus.
Save for the title, release date, language and album artwork, most details about the release are currently being kept under wraps.
Uchis offered a statement about her vision for Orquídes: "The orchid is the national flower of Colombia, and we have more species of orchid than anywhere on earth," she said. "I always felt distinctly intrigued and magnetized by the flower. This album is inspired by the timeless, eerie, mystic, striking, graceful and sensual allure of the orchid. With this vast scope of fresh energy, I wish to re-define the way we look at Latinas in music."
Despite the fact that Uchis's last LP was released just months ago, the artist shows no signs of letting up. She recently released a single called "Muñekita," featuring El Alfa and JT of City Girls. Check out that music video below.
