After sharing single "A Little Soon to Say" earlier this month, Jackson Browne has now rolled out the accompanying "Downhill from Everywhere."

Arriving ahead of Earth Day, "Downhill from Everywhere" will be featured in the documentary film The Story of Plastic, set to premiere on the Discovery Channel on April 22. The doc will "[draw] back the curtain on the true cost of plastic pollution."

"Plastic is a great and really useful thing," Browne told Rolling Stone. "But it's just absurd that we use it to deliver things, just to deliver water to people in packaging. That stuff will be around for hundreds of years and does not biodegrade. So this movement has got a lot of attention and a lot of support. Because it's so obvious to people that it's a problem. It's no longer something that can be sort of swept under the rug."

Both "Downhill from Everywhere" and "A Little Soon to Say" will be included on a new studio album from Browne, set to arrive in October. He last released Standing in the Breach in 2014.

In March, Browne tested positive for COVID-19.
