Indian Handcrafts

"The Divider"

The Creeps in Ontario noise-rock unit Indian Handcrafts are teasing their upcoming sophomore LP again, this time delivering sonic destruction via a stream of "The Divider." The chunky rifftopia can be explored online now.

As previously reported, Indian Handcrafts noted that Creeps was influenced by listening to anything from "Celtic Frost to Faster Pussycat" in the band van. As far as "The Divider" goes, there's a bit of a Sunset Strip glam edge to those guitar melodies, not to mention its spandex-smothered vibrato vocal patterns. But, as with other Handcrafts cuts, there's a gloomy, detuned touch of Melvins in there too.

The track ebbs and flows between ear-bleeding distortion, softly strummed six-strings, and a purple haze of riff rock. You can sample it all down below, courtesy of Stereogum.

Creeps arrives in full October 2 via Sargent House.
