Vancouver's makeout music crew and Exclaim! Class of 2020 grads I M U R are showcasing the darker side of the "Be Gay, Do Crime" ethos with their new single "Case of You." It's a glimpse of their upcoming album My Molecules, and the track arrives today alongside a new music video.

The BC-shot visuals come courtesy of director Sebastian Hill-Esbrand and Wallop Film production. Dripping in equal amounts of infatuation and anarchy, the story follows a queer couple in the throes of young love as they set out on a crime spree that quickly turns from carefree to violent.

"'Case of You' is a song about remembering those first few moments when you were falling in love," singer-songwriter Jenny Lea explained in a statement. "A snapshot of flirtation, infatuation, and living in the moment."

Featuring beats by Mikey J Blige, the "collection of honeymoon-phase memories" is transformed into a moody cinematic journey scored by genre-bending electro-pop and R&B grooviness.

The song will appear on the band's third studio album My Molecules, which is set to arrive on June 25.

Further exploring themes of infatuation, lust and codependence, the record narrates Lea's struggles with addiction, difficult past loves, and her ways of "coping with a near-death experience that almost derailed her music journey."

Stay tuned for more information about the forthcoming record, and watch the band's new video for "Case of You" below.
