Honey Jam — the all-female, multicultural, multi-genre artist showcase that launched the careers of Nelly Furtado, Melanie Fiona and more — is searching the country for artists aged 14 to 25 who are ready to take their music careers to the next level.
Produced by PhemPhat Entertainment Group, Honey Jam is looking for female artists representing all genres across Canada. Whether you're performing pop, hip-hop, jazz, soca, R&B, gospel, rock, dancehall, blues, alternative, opera, country or anything in between, all styles of music are welcome. Auditions will be taking place on June 8 at 5 p.m. ET at Toronto's El Mocambo at 464 Spadina Ave.
All 2021 artists will not only perform at the Honey Jam concert, but they'll also receive media and industry exposure, one-on-one vocal and performance coaching, festival performance opportunities and more.
The Honey Jam concert is scheduled to take place mid-late August. Further details for this year's concert have yet to be confirmed due to the uncertainty related to gathering restrictions, but you can stay up to date by following Honey Jam on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Last year, performers took to the El Mocambo stage and were broadcast live to over 10,000 households.
Further details on the live audition process and COVID safety protocols are available here. If you're outside of Ontario and unable to make it to the live auditions, you can audition virtually by submitting a video performance and filling out the Honey Jam artist submission form.
