Following the release of his Phoebe Bridgers-produced debut album Beginners, Los Angeles folkster Christian Lee Hutson has now shared a three-track covers EP, featuring jangly indie-folk reworks of Blink-182, Sum 41 and Kid Cudi classics.
The Version Suicides, out today via ANTI-, is being released in tandem with Bandcamp Fridays. All proceeds from the record will benefit L.A.'s Downtown Women's Center, a charity that provides health and wellness services, on-site and community-based housing and access to basic needs for women experiencing homelessness.
The Joseph Lorge-mixed EP finds Hutson covering Blink's "Going Away to College," Cudi's "Pursuit of Happiness" and Sum 41's "Fat Lip."
"I covered three obscure songs — you've probably never heard of them," Hutson joked about the release.
Listen to those tracks from The Version Suicides below, and head to Hutson's Bandcamp to purchase the record in support of the charity.
