Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Avril Lavigne, Zach Zoya

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Nov 4, 2022

We're pulling a Coldplay: it's (almost) all yellow.

While we've still got the occasional melancholy piano ballad about skin and bones and something beautiful, this week's best new Canadian music errs sunny-side-up! Said the Whale are having a "Girls Night Out" and Snotty Nose Rez Kids are GOOD, HBU?. Plus, Avril Lavigne comes through on her promise to deliver a new single and we have double trouble with two new songs from Zach Zoya.

Album releases for the week obviously include Drake and 21 Savage's spoof-inspiring collaborative album Her Loss, as well as MorMor's Semblance. There are also some Halloween leftovers in the form of fanclubwallet's "Roadkill," DEAR-GOD and DoFlame joining forces on "The Dungeon," and Louise Burns putting her spin on Depeche Mode's "See You." Elsewhere, Witch Prophet is coming "Back 2 You" and Softcult circle the "Drain."

The latest homegrown fresh tracks will get you energized with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
