In her own words, Witch Prophet explains, "'Back 2 You' is about recognizing who brings out the best in you and not blocking your blessings by running from them. As corny as it sounds, home really is where the heart is. This song was my first time working with Boy Golden and Lydia, and it was as smooth and magical as the harmonies on the track. I'm a big fan of them both, honoured for the opportunity to have worked together."
"Back 2 You" follows Witch Prophet's 2021 single "Shine," which arrived last year along with a deluxe edition of her Prism Prize-nominated, Polaris Music Prize shortlisted album DNA Activation. The LP was among Exclaim!'s Best Albums of 2020.
