Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Lennon Stella, Land of Talk, Command Sisters

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Oct 15, 2021

If you can tear yourself away from the new Adele song, variety is famously the spice of life — and we've got your weekly CanCon variety show on tap with fresh tunes by everyone from Lennon Stella to Neil Young and Crazy Horse.

In a nutshell: things get "Fancy" with Land of Talk's "Moment Feed," while New Faves alum Loviet paints a "Picture" of the self-trust the Command Sisters are striving to find.

For album releases this week, we have Le Ren's intimate debut Leftovers, Coeur de pirate's metamorphic Impossible à aimer and Lutharo's heavy-hitting Hiraeth, as well as new EPs from Falana, Death Party Playground and Devan.

Something nostalgic must be in the fall air because there were also huge album announcements from the likes of Bryan Adams, Blue Rodeo and Broken Social Scene's Sam Jr.

Elsewhere, Suzie Ungerleider offers up an acoustic rendition of "Baby Blues" and Ben Caplan reimagines "Down to the River." In terms of collaborations, we've got I M U R and Teon Gibbs keeping things loose on "No Strings," Famba teaming up with 12AM, Isaac Symonds (ex-Half Moon Run) getting etched with Loryn Taggart, and Dave Monks joining forces with Alyson McNamara.

Dig into the bountiful harvest with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
