Oshawa, ON-born pop prodigy Lennon Stella is back and inviting us on a journey beyond this spiritual plane with her new single "Fancy," alongside an Amber Park-directed video.

"Fancy" marks Stella's first release since her heavily anticipated 2020 debut LP Three. Two. One., and the track comes complete with a reference to Marcy Playground's "Sex and Candy."

The singer-songwriter's signature breathy, entrancing vocals meet droning synths before exploding into a horn-driven chorus, with the dreamy production culminating in a swirling bridge accelerando.

"I'm so amped to have 'Fancy' out and floating around — both the video and the song," Stella said in a statement. "I wrote it earlier this year with Malay [Frank Ocean, Lorde, Zayn] and Simon Wilcox, two of my very favourite people; I was smiling ear to ear singing 'I'm feeling that high vibration' in the vocal booth, so I hope everyone feels the high vibrations and loves the song like we do."

Instead of somewhere fancy, the artist opts to dance in the desert after nightfall in the trippy video clip, the song's rhythmic movement becoming an extension of her body with visual effects.

Stella was nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2020 Juno Awards.
