While Guns N' Roses have been touring like crazy, the band's last album still remains 2008's infamous Chinese Democracy. And believe it or not, the last GNR to actually feature core classic lineup members Slash, Duff McKagan and Axl Rose all together was 1993 covers album "The Spaghetti Incident?" However, that soon may change, according to Slash.

In a new interview, the guitar hero has shed a bit more light on a possible new album from the band.

"Axl, Duff, myself, and Richard have all talked about … there's material and stuff going on already for a new record," Slash told TVK's Rock City [via Louder]. "It's just, with Guns N' Roses, you don't go, 'Oh, there's a plan, and it's gonna be like this,' because that's not how it works. Basically, the only real answer to give is we're hoping to put a new record out, and we'll just see what happens when it happens."

You can watch the new interview below.

This adds to what Slash said last year, when he told Classic Rock magazine, "I think everybody thinks it's a good idea, and everybody would like to do it. "There's no shortage of ideas from everybody involved, but we've been so busy on the road there hasn't really been time to go in and sit down and go, 'Okay, we're going to make a record.'"

Earlier this week even, fellow Guns N' Roses guitarist Richard Fortus spoke about a new GNR album, telling the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, "Slash is on tour right now. Once he gets back from that, we're gonna get some more recording done and hopefully get an album out soon. And then we'll get back to touring."

As previously reported, Slash is kicking off the "Living the Dream Tour" with Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators in July. The trek comes in support of Slash and co.'s 2018 album Living the Dream, the follow-up to their 2014 effort with World on Fire. You can see the Canada-heavy dates over here.

As for GNR leader Axl Rose, he also recently released some new material with the song "Rock the Rock," which was written for the New Looney Tunes
