Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose and former Penthouse model Sheila Kennedy have reached a private settlement in the sexual assault lawsuit she filed against him last year, Rolling Stone reports.

Both parties recently filed court documents in New York to discontinue the case with prejudice, meaning that it cannot be filed again. While the terms of the private pact have not been disclosed, Rose and Kennedy are each covering their own legal fees.

"As I have from the beginning, I deny the allegations. There was no assault," Rose told the publication. His lawyer, E. Danya Perry, added, "Mr. Rose has suffered greatly from this lawsuit, and I am pleased that he will now be able to move on with his life."

Days prior to the end of the window for the New York Adult Survivor's Act (which waived the statute of limitations on sexual misconduct claims in the state for a year-long period) in 2023, Kennedy accused the musician of violently assaulting her in a Manhattan hotel room in 1989. She had previously made similar allegations in her 2016 autobiography, No One's Pet, as well as in Look Away, the 2021 documentary about sexual abuse in rock music.
