The track is "in response to all the privacy invasion, bad press, online hate and harassment" following her split from Elon Musk

Now that Grimes and Elon Musk are space exes, the pop artist has shared a spicy new post-breakup song titled "LOVE" — only it's not about her split from the father of her child. It's apparently about "bad vibes on the internet."

Equipped with TikTok framing and LED lighting, dramatic makeup and a wind machine, the musician born Claire Boucher has officially graduated to her Lindsay Lohan "Rumors" phase, dropping her first-ever song about how hard it is being famous.

"I wrote and produced this song this week in response to all the privacy invasion, bad press, online hate and harassment by paparazzis I've experienced this week," Boucher wrote of the song on Instagram.

"Nobody understands because / Everything they hate / Is everything I love," the artist lip-syncs over the track, "When you hate me / Think it fixes you to break me?"

In Grimes' defence, the news of her split from Musk was instant and ruthless meme-fodder for Twitter — however, it's hard to imagine she'd expect anything less considering she's well-aware of her fanbase's opinions on her ex.

"LOVE" marks the first bit of new material from Grimes since she teased "Shinigami Eyes" back in June. It's unclear if either track is attached to a larger body of work, or if they are due to be released as one-off singles.

Listen to Grimes' latest below, but be warned: it's next-level hammy.
