Toronto indie quartet FRIGS recently previewed their debut album Basic Behaviour with lead single "Talking Pictures," and now they've unveiled another teaser track from the upcoming LP.
"Solid State" hears frontwoman Bria Salmena sing-speaking atop a booming bassline and ringing guitars, punctuated by start-and-stop percussion.
"Lyrically, 'Solid State' is a stream-of-consciousness/subconscious conversation with myself, effectively more a confessional than a diary entry," Salmena said in a statement. "The spoken vocals are stark and unfiltered, as their delivery is meant to be intimate and familiar. The song became a representation of the conversations that occur in your head when you are alone."
