Friendzone Announce Instrumental LP 'DX,' Premiere New Tracks

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 26, 2013

Coming off a recent Adult Swim-sanctioned team-up with Myyki Blanco, Oakland beatsmiths Friendzone have announced they will serve up an instrumental set dubbed DX sometime in August.

A press release confirms that the duo of James Laurence and Dylan Reznick will issue the album on their own. It follows the cloud rap crew's recent Kuchibiru Network compilation and their 2012 effort Collection 1.

A tracklisting has not yet been made available, but they're currently showcasing the album's gauzy "Poly" and "8AM," as well as a B-side titled "If U Knew." You can check out all three tracks in the stream down below and download them over here.

The production duo have a busy fall ahead of them, as they'll be producing the entirety of fellow Bay Area artists' Main Attrakionz's 808's and Dark Grapes III LP. A due date has yet to arrive for that platter, but you can check out a video for the set's "Summa Time" over here.
