Following a handful of new singles over the winter, former Weaves bandleader Jasmyn Burke has announced plans for her debut album as the mononymous Jasmyn. In the Wild is out June 3 via Royal Mountain Records/ANTI-.
Teaming up with producer John Congleton on the record, Burke crafted songs that lean into quiet moments of introspection, as well as catharsis. "I wanted to create songs that would help people feel a type of confidence in themselves," she said of the record in a release.
Today, Burke shares the album's third single, "Edge of Time," which arrives alongside its own Iris Kim-directed video. "For me, this song is about walking through one's fears in hopes of experiencing a new way of being and seeing the world," the artist said of the track.
She continued: "It's the push and pull dynamic of changing and evolving, and how we sometimes can feel sorrow when shedding the old version of ourselves."
"Edge of Time" follows the release of album cuts "Crystal Ball" and "Find the Light."
