After releasing her debut album Chrysalia in December 2020, Montreal-based Exclaim! New Fave, Eve Parker Finley (f.k.a. Lonely Boa), has just shared a brand new single titled "Icarus" through Florafone and Coax Records.
Featuring the vocals of L.A.-based chamber popster Ah-Mer-Ah-Su, the track finds the pair flipping the narrative of the titular figure of Greek mythology. Instead of flying too close to the sun, Parker wonders if Icarus could have gone even further with the help of some friends.
"There is so much more possible if you have a community behind you vs. being alone," Finley elaborated.
Prior to its official release today, the song arrived with its own Anna-Maria Trudel-directed music video. Watch the video for "Icarus" and stream the track below.
