Erykah Badu came under fire this week for seemingly defending R. Kelly, and now the producer behind the Surviving R. Kelly docu-series has called her out.
Replying to a Twitter user who claimed that Badu had worked with Kelly and declined to appear in the documentary, the singer disputed the claim and said that she "was never asked to be a part of the documentary."

The doc's producer, dream hampton, then chimed in saying that one of her fellow producers had contacted Badu for clarification of two specific quotes Badu had made about Kelly in the past.
But Badu denied that she had been contacted by the documentary team, saying she "wasn't a necessary component" to the story and then demanded receipts — or an apology — from hampton.
The producer didn't back down, criticizing Badu for her past public comments about Kelly.
This is an easy ass hill not to die on.

As previously reported, Kelly is once again under criminal investigation, as a result of new allegations made in hampton's documentary series.
Kelly has denied all allegations.
