Edmonton-born indie pop maverick Laur Elle has announced her debut full-length album, previewed today by new single "Lost Cause."

Delayed Reaction is due October 13. It follows a pair of EPs, last year's August (a former Exclaim! Staff Pick) and 2020's The Art of Pretending.

"This album is an emotional road trip that mirrors my real-life experience packing up and moving from Canada to L.A. after a breakup," the artist shared in a press release. "Each song is a metaphorical stop along the way. Many memories were made, mistakes were inevitable, and long hours in the car spent reflecting led to some of my favourite songs I've ever written."

New single "Lost Cause" is fit to burst, a tightly-wound slice of Energizer Bunny-tempo pop with distorted guitars adding a newfound grittiness to Elle's sound.
