Toronto's newest music venue, History — a collaborative venture between Drake and Live Nation — is finally due to open its doors to the public this week.
The long-awaited Beaches neighbourhood concert hall will christen its dance floors this Sunday (November 7), with an all-ages performance by Jack Antonoff's Bleachers.
Shows have been scheduled throughout the remainder of 2021, and include appearances by Thundercat, CHVRCHES, July Talk, Kaytranada and more.
"We are thrilled to bring History to life in Toronto with live entertainment that we know will elevate the city's concert-going experience," Live Nation Canada chairman Riley O'Connor said in a statement. "We can't wait for both fans and artists alike to experience our newest destination music venue."
The 2,500-capacity venue located at 1663 Queen Street East touts a "state-of-the-art audiovisual system and an incredibly intimate feel" and promises "a wide array of eclectic music and arts programming, with plans to host 200 events annually."
