Some 38 years after Giorgio Moroder teamed up with disco queen Donna Summer on the erotically charged "Love to Love You Baby," the synth pioneer has dusted off the dancefloor classic with a house-influenced remix.
Moroder brought the reworked tune to Sweden's Way Out West Festival over the weekend, telling crowds that he and collaborator Chris Cox "just finished it last night on the plane." While it still features the porn-soundtrack synth swells and the late disco singer's alternated coos and moans, the track has been contemporized with build and drop sections, as well as a sly French house stomp that may have rubbed off on Morodoer while working with Daft Punk.
Keep in mind, this is a live recording, so the fidelity leaves something to be desired. Regardless, you can hear Moroder's update on his own touchstone track down below.
