DJ Shadow Adds Shows in Montreal and Toronto, Slates New Album for May 2011

BY Josiah HughesPublished Oct 28, 2010

We're not exactly sure when DJ Shadow started his upcoming record, but he did say that he was "halfway done" a new studio album back in April. Besides the pair of new tracks he leaked last month though, we haven't heard a peep from the long-dormant sample whiz. Still, those jonesing for a fix of some vintage trip-top turntablism can take comfort in the fact that Shadow has expanded his tour dates.

As previously reported, DJ Shadow is finishing off 2010 with a world tour. He already recently played Vancouver, and he's revealed new stops on the tour, which includes Canadian dates in Toronto and Montreal. Like before, the shows come with their own unique URLs where fans can upload images with the DJ Shadow iPhone app. Pictures from the recent Vancouver appearance can be found here.

While we would love to tell you that we have the title, tracklisting and proper release date for DJ Shadow's fourth album, that information simply isn't available. The best we can tell you is that, according to NME, Shadow's new album has been tentatively slated for May 2011.
