After reviving his Papa M moniker to release Highway Songs in 2016, post-rock hero Dave Pajo is returning with a full-length follow-up.

Breaking away from his work with the likes of Slint, Interpol and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pajo's latest solo work as Papa M is titled A Broke Moon Rises. Five tracks in length, the album is set to arrive August 17 through Drag City

A Broke Moon Rises is said to be "meditative in the most active sense, with the unquiet mind leaping from place to place in a static, spartan theatre."

The record closes with Pajo's rendition of "Spiegel im Spiegel," a piece by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, while the album's title is based on an observation from Pajo's son upon seeing a half-moon in the sky one evening.

A Broke Moon Rises is available for pre-order here. Read through the tracklist to hear the newly shared album track "Walt's" in the player below.
