Coldplay have performed a couple of covers — including of Pearl Jam and the Spice Girls — during the promotional run of their emoji-heavy new record, Music of the Spheres. And now, they've shared a cover of Y2K-inspired phenom PinkPantheress' "Just for Me," performed at BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge

"I was learning about PinkPantheress, and she's so great and talented and wonderful and from the West Country," frontman Chris Martin said on the show. "It's a brilliant, brilliant song, yeah. She's exciting to watch what she does."

The piano-led rendition is a successful cover in that Martin and co. have truly made the song their own —whether or not that's a good thing is up to you to decide.

"Just for Me" features on PinkPantheress' debut mixtape to hell with it. Check out the cover, plus PinkPantheress' original track, below.
