Cherry Glazerr took the pandemic off from releasing any new records — though they did contribute to that massive Metallica tribute album and a few other things in the interim. Their dry streak is about to end though, as they've just announced their follow-up to 2019's Stuffed & Ready, I Don't Want You Anymore, due September 29 on Secretly Canadian.

Bandleader Clementine Creevy describes the work as a "mature" album in terms of where it intersects with her personal growth, and an "extremely fun" album on its own. "The songs on this one are songs I've dreamed of making," she explained. The record was co-produced with Yves Rothman (who worked with the band on their cover of "My Friend of Misery").

Today, the band share "Soft Like a Flower," which arrives alongside its own music video. Wailing alongside bandmate Sami Perez on the chorus, Creevy calls the song her "Evanescence moment."

"It's a real 'losing your fucking shit' kind've vibe," Creepy said of the track. "I wanted this album to be just heart and soul. Completely exposed. It's also a little bit about loving the anguish and toxicity that comes with being ruined by another person. Letting go and submitting to them but then catching yourself becoming too much like them."
