Charli XCX is back to crash the costume party: she has unveiled a new music video for "Used to Know Me" from her critically acclaimed 2022 album CRASH.
The clip — directed by Alex Lill — features Charli XCX playing dress-up in a variety of outfits, embodying the likes of a cheerleader, an '80s workout instructor, what Rolling Stone deemed a "blasphemously sexy" nun and Marie Antoinette. So, if Grimes happens to tune in on a break from her busy hacking schedule, it will presumably be like looking in a mirror, as the self-proclaimed "Marie Antoinette of pop stan culture."
Also, we know the quote about letting them eat cake is famously falsely attributed to the historical figure, but is Charli not irrefutably keeping the people well-fed?
"Used to Know Me" follows previous CRASH singles "Good Ones," "New Shapes," "Beg for You" and "Baby."

The pop star recently extended her 2022 tour itinerary, including the addition of a Vancouver date.
