Charli XCX has been staying busy during isolation, hosting livestreams and popping up occasionally in Club Quarantine to the delight of her army of stans. Keeping things moving with her relentless output, she has now announced plans to write and record an entire album while she's stuck indoors.

Tentatively titled How I'm Feeling Now, the new material is scheduled to arrive on May 15. Charli says she wants the work to feel "really authentic" and predicts it will surmount to something "real and representative" of what she is experiencing in quarantine.

"I'm going to use this isolation time to make a brand new album from scratch," she says in a video announcement. "I'm only going to be able to use the tools I have at my fingertips to create all music, all artwork, all videos, everything — in that sense, it'll be very DIY."

The artist has promised production from PC Music's A. G. Cook and BJ Burton, as well as appearances from a host of other (so far, unnamed) special guests and input from fans and critics that will be acquired through Zoom meetings and texts.

XCX's last record was 2019's Charli.
