The crowd at the Palace for New Jerseys the Casualties was a force: rammed close to the front and waiting eagerly, the audience let loose as soon as the hoarse street punks hit the first note. Singer Jorge Herrera was sounding especially rough, though the fans out shouted the music for most of the set anyway. It was hard to tell who was feeding off of who; both the room and the band were unrelenting from start to finish, and whether you were one of the mohawked or not, there was no way not to get into the genuine, harmless frenzy that was going down all around.
