Caesars Windsor is announcing it is temporarily closing due to ongoing measures to limit the spread of coronavirus, affecting a number of concerts in Ontario.

With the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation's recent announcement it would be shutting down all casinos until further notice, Caesars is working on an orderly shutdown effective today (March 16). As of 4 a.m. EDT, all gaming floors are closing and all hotel guests are being told to vacate by 12 p.m. EDT.

The casino regularly hosts concerts, with a number of shows by Ice Cube, Pitbull, REO Speedwagon and Jason Derulo now all being postponed. All future shows are remaining scheduled for the time being but with the rapidly changing situation, they too could be postponed.

Ticket holders for the postponed shows can hang on to their tickets for rescheduled dates or request a refund from their point of purchase.
