Yet another part of the Butthole Surfers' back catalogue is about to receive a new pressing on vinyl, with the band's 1993 effort Independent Worm Saloon set to come back out on wax in the fall via Plain Recordings.
Though a due date has not yet been locked down, the label confirmed over Facebook that we're two seasons away from slapping the 180-gram repress onto our turntables.
Originally issued through Capitol Records, Independent Worm Saloon was the Surfers' first for a major label. The record was produced by Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones and is described as having maintained the band's "bizarre and twisted sense of humour," despite the move to a major.
The mainstream debut includes opening track "Who Was in My Room Last Night?" once used in a Nintendo campaign. You'll find the song's tripped-out video treatment down below.
Last fall, the Butthole Surfers' first four albums were treated to vinyl reissues via Latino Bugger Veil.
