The 2023 actors' strike giveth and the 2023 actors' strike taketh away — while it might've robbed audiences of months of content and pushed back release dates across the board, it also brought us the extremely unlikely crossover episode that was Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul bartending Drake's birthday party.

On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this week, Cranston explained that, although Drake had hired their company to cater the party, the duo were only there in person because the strike left them needing the money.

"Because it was the strike, I needed a gig, so I was bartending just to pick up a few bucks," he joked.

The Breaking Bad star also revealed that he and Paul caught Drake off guard at the party.

"He didn't know we were gonna be there ... we heard he was having a birthday, we thought, 'Wouldn't this be fun if we go?'" he recalled. "So, we went there, we were in Miami, and we were behind the bar and Drake is thinking, 'Let's see, what should I order?' and I said, 'Can I get something for you, sir?' and he goes, 'Yeah ... OH'"

Of course, all of this feels like one big ad for Cranston and Paul's Dos Hombres Mezcal liquor brand, which he deftly mentioned they were serving at the party — but, it's a fun story nonetheless.
