Badly Drawn Boy has announced plans for his first new album in a decade. Titled Banana Skin Shoes, the record arrives May 22 via AWAL.

Described as "a truly personal and heartfelt collection of songs," Banana Skin Shoes is the English artist born Damon Gough's "huge statement of intent and the most glorious, colourful warming, honest pop record you'll probably hear all year."

Today, Gough has shared the record's title track, as well as an accompanying Broken Antler-directed music video. Previously, BDB and Broken Antler had teamed up for another new single, "Is This a Dream?" released back in January. That track will also appear on the forthcoming record.

Excluding his soundtrack work, Gough's last studio album was 2010's It's What I'm Thinking Pt.1 – Photographing Snowflakes.
