Let's face it: it's still a damn cold night, and we're still trying to figure out this life.

Avril Lavigne understands, and she's celebrating the 20th anniversary of her debut album Let Go with a deluxe edition that includes six bonus tracks.

Originally released on June 4, 2002, Let Go is a pop-punk touchstone and thrust the Motherfucking Princess to fame off the immense success of singles "Complicated," "Sk8er Boi" and "I'm With You."

The new material on today's digital release comprises three previously unheard B-sides, as well as a rendition of "Breakaway," the hit she penned for Kelly Clarkson, and two of-the-era soundtrack cuts from American Wedding and Sweet Home Alabama. There are also pre-orders available for a forthcoming 2LP vinyl pressing of the 20th anniversary edition of the album.

Earlier this year, Lavigne proved she is still the voice of a generation by reconnecting with her pop-punk roots on Love Sux — the follow-up to 2019's Head Above Water. The Napanee-hailing singer-songwriter has since gone on to embark on her first Canadian headlining tour in 10 years, rock the Juno Awards with a medley of songs old and new, and perform "Complicated" with Olivia Rodrigo in Toronto.
