Amid their ongoing North American tour, Atmosphere have announced their new EP Talk Talk, due December 1 via Rhymesayers. Along with the announcement of the EP, they've also shared two singles — title track "Talk Talk (feat. Bat Flower)" and "Rotary Telephone."
According to a press release, the EP is inspired by its title track, which was originally included in this year's So Many Other Realities Exist Simultaneously. Rapper Slug and producer Ant were so enamoured by the sound they achieved on "Talk Talk" that they began producing the EP as "a longer exploration of that sound, to mesmeric results."
Atmosphere's vision for the EP was to "…dart across threads of space-time to grab hold of the one where they became titans of the electro-rap genre that was foundational to their youths." It includes contributions from Bat Flower, Kool Keith and Buck 65.
