Following a series of experimental shorts, Edmonton director Kyle Armstrong is set to release his debut feature Until First Light later this year. Today, Exclaim! is proud to present the film's first trailer.
According to an official synopsis, the film "follows an unnamed protagonist returning to his childhood home following the suicide of his brother. The man struggles with loss as fall gives way to winter and he reluctantly assumes responsibility for the dying family farm."
In addition to Edmonton musician and first-time actor Darren Frank, who stars, the film also features a role from Pedro the Lion's David Bazan. Further, it features a new score from Jim O'Rourke.
