It's already been a big day for film news regarding Denis Villeneuve and Harrison Ford. The former announced the release plan for his Enemy follow-up Sicario, while the latter made an appearance in a new trailer for some movie called Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The pair are set to cross paths outside of Exclaim!'s film news section with the arrival of a forthcoming Blade Runner sequel. While details are scarce about that film, we've just learned that it may co-star Ryan Gosling.
Variety reports that Gosling is currently in talks to co-star in the film alongside Ford, who will reprise his role of Rick Deckard. Little else is known about the film, but it will take place decades after the 1982 original, which was set in 2019.
The film is still listed as "Untitled Blade Runner Project" on IMDb. It will be produced by Ridley Scott for Alcon Entertainment. Scott also has a co-writer credit on the film.
Gosling recently released his directorial debut Lost River.
