After finding new grooves with their Chance of Reign beat tape and recent self-sampling on Air, Light & Harmony, Toronto's Badge Époque Ensemble continue to bolster their hip-hop bonafides with the arrival of a new sample pack.
The Cloud Sound collects "some of the most distinctive textures and raw elements from the BÉE tool kit" for sample based producers to use in their own productions — all of which were captured at "professional studios, through a cornucopia of outboard gear, using vintage microphones, and immaculately processed by engineers of distinction."
As for what's inside, BÉE have enlisted the help of Sample Rat to help break things down in a video you can watch below. The Cloud Sound packs in 53 one-shot samples — including complete drum kits from their celebrated Self Help and Clouds of Joy albums — 22 loops and eight raw continuous stems of drum breaks, flute solos and percussion sounds.
