Matt Furie's Pepe the Frog Gets His Own Documentary 'Feels Good Man'
Watch the film's official trailer
Published Jul 15, 2020Back in 2005, visual artist Matt Furie created a cartoon character named Pepe the Frog for his comic, Boy's Club. A decade later, unbeknownst to Furie, his goofy green legacy would be appropriated to disseminate the messages of the alt-right. How?
A new documentary, Fees Good Man, tells the story of how Pepe turned from an innocent frog to a symbol of hate. And today, you can watch the film's official trailer.
Directed by Arthur Jones for his documentary film debut, Feels Good Man follows the story of Furie and his beloved Pepe, and the wild journey that led the artist down a path to reclaim the character from his neo-Nazis adopters and the darkest corners of 4chan.
After premiering at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, the documentary is now set to debut worldwide on September 4.
