Albertan country singer Corb Lund is reissuing his catalogue of 11 albums on limited edition vinyl via New West Records, and he's teasing a mysterious 12th LP arriving next year in the process.
The vinyl reissues begin with Lund's first four albums, now available for pre-order: Modern Pain (1995) and Unforgiving Mistress (1999) — both of which will be on vinyl for the first time — and Five Dollar Bill (2002) and Hair in My Eyes Like a Highland Steer (2005). Modern Pain will drop on May 16, with subsequent releases rolling out through 2025 and 2026. You can purchase the first four LPs for $218 and all 12 for $654.
In a press release, Lund shared his excitement about pressing all of his albums on vinyl. "Some of the older albums have been out of print forever and the super early ones have never been on vinyl. I've been digging through all of it and there were songs I barely remember writing. Pretty cool trip down memory lane," he said.
Alongside the reissues, Lund has launched the Dark Horse Vinyl Club, which offers fans access to limited-colour vinyl versions, exclusive merch and other perks. The club's first 250 members will gain access to an exclusive live Zoom performance and Q&A session with Lund.
The Canadian country star is also embarking on a co-headline tour with Hayes Carll next week. The Bible on the Dash Tour begins in Kentucky before making its way across the US. Following the co-headline dates, Lund will hit the road with his band, the Hurtin' Albertans, for additional shows across North America. His solo tour includes a stop at a country fair in Surrey, BC, on May 18, a farm fair in La Corey, AB, on June 14, Dauphin's CountryFest on June 28 and Saskatchewan's Big Flat Folk Fest on July 12.
